There's no way to get around this short of using mods.
Skin textures, in particular, have been given a lot more wear and tear, and sometimes vastly different colors. Additionally, the models and textures used in the loading screens are somewhat different from the models and textures that appear in the final game. These characters have to be reconstructed from images-they can't just be converted from game files, so the resemblance isn't perfect. I get a lot of requests for characters from the Skyrim loading screens and promotional screenshots that Bethesda released.
